Navajo Sterling Silver Belt Buckle Orville White Geometric Stamped Heavy 70g
Description
A heavy Navajo sterling silver belt buckle hand-stamped by Orville White, measuring 3 1/8 inches across by 2 1/4 inches high.
The buckle is fabricated from thick-gauge solid sterling silver plate with a subtle convex curvature. The face is covered in horizontal bands of hand-struck geometric stamp work, featuring rows of alternating triangles framed by deeply incised linear tracks. Heavy oxidation in the recessed stamping provides strong visual contrast against the polished raised silver surfaces. The top and bottom borders are finished with a continuous sawtooth notch stamp.
On the reverse, the buckle displays a lightly textured surface fitted with a soldered heavy-gauge swivel belt loop and a secure silver prong. The piece is stamped Sterling OW at the center back, representing the hallmark of Navajo silversmith Orville White. White is recognized for his precise, deep geometric stamp work and heavy gauge silver construction. This is a single handmade piece and is sized and constructed as shown.
