Description

This heavy sterling silver cuff bracelet features a striking row of high-relief skulls, meticulously crafted to capture a dark, edgy aesthetic. The piece displays a distinct Gothic influence, a genre of jewelry that emerged as a subculture in the late 1970s and 1980s, drawing inspiration from Victorian mourning jewelry, punk rock, and medieval macabre. Characterized by its use of dark themes and bold silverwork, Gothic jewelry often incorporates motifs like skulls to represent mortality and rebellion. This particular cuff is a substantial accessory, weighing in at 44.36 grams of solid sterling silver. The design showcases several raised skulls across the front, set against a deeply oxidized, hammered texture that makes the polished silver features pop with dramatic contrast. Measuring 5/8 of an inch in width, the bracelet has an inner circumference of 5 9/16 inches with a 1 3/4 inch opening, comfortably fitting a 7 1/2 inch wrist size as shown on the mandrel. The interior is stamped with the hallmark for Collins along with a copyright symbol and the sterling designation, ensuring its metal purity and designer origin.

Fits a wrist of
7.31"

This one suits wrists from about 6.71" to 7.16". Measure with a tape or a strip of paper, snug against the skin, just below the wrist bone.

Loose, draped fit +0.81" of room

It will sit lower toward the hand. Check the gap is narrow enough that it cannot turn and slip off.

Non-adjustable — solid silver

Thick-gauge sterling does not move by hand, and forcing it work-hardens the shoulders until they crack. Please buy to your measurement rather than planning to adjust it.

How to put a vintage cuff on without bending it
  1. Turn the cuff so the gap faces the underside of your wrist.
  2. Rest the opening against the narrowest part — the flat side of the wrist, not the back of the hand.
  3. Roll it on: slide one terminal past the wrist bone, then rotate the cuff around rather than pushing it straight on.
  4. Turn the gap back underneath once it is on.

The roll is the whole trick. Pushing a cuff on straight is what makes people force the gap wider, and the silver does not come back.
